Secure And Fast
The iTivity remote access architecture uses strong AES encryption over the industry standard TLS/SSL protocol by default for all network connections. This cutting edge, US and Canadian government approved encryption algorithm provides both high performance and great security.
Secure By Default
The iTivity components automatically generate 2048 bit RSA keys for the initial SSL/TLS session key exchange. Then 128 bit symmetrical session keys are used for bulk encryption of all data. By default, iTivity iAgents verify the iServer certificate when connecting and iTivity includes support for distributing the iServer public key in custom installers. The iTivity encryption implementation is optimized for strong security and high performance.
Configurable OpenSSL
Under the hood, iTivity uses the highly regarded and very well tested OpenSSL encryption library. The iTivity OpenSSL builds are compiled for native 64-bit performance using the optimized assembler implementation where available. iTivity allows configuration of the encryption key size or strength for the key exchange as well as the symmetric key size and bulk encryption cipher. iTivity also supports the OpenSSL hardware encryption engines for optimized performance on customized servers.
